Could Be Pretty Cool® is a media and research company serving the creative industries. We specialize in qualitative insight, podcast and video production, and creator-centered tools that support sustainable growth.
Founded in 2020, we partner with artists, organizations, and brands to produce mission-driven media, design custom research, and build platforms that amplify underrepresented voices. Our work blends storytelling, strategy, and cultural fluency to help creative teams connect with their audiences and deepen their impact.
THE MISSION
The mission of Could be Pretty Cool (CPBC) is to empower independent creators, cultural organizations, and educational institutions to collaborate effectively by providing resources, platforms, and support to promote sustainable revenue generation. We strive to elevate diverse voices by nurturing an inclusive and sustainable creative ecosystem that values authenticity and fosters global connections. Through community engagement and innovative partnerships, we aim to inspire transformative cultural experiences and promote creativity as a vital force for social change.
About the Founder
Kacie (Willis) Luaders holds a BS in Music Recording Technology from Hampton University and an MFA in Sound Design from Savannah College of Art and Design. She is the Founding Producer of Could Be Pretty Cool, a media company focused on podcast production and sound design. Kacie participated in the 2019 Spotify Sound Up podcasting accelerator program and created the Spotify Original podcast "You Heard Me Write." She has been recognized as one of the '40 Under 40 in Podcasting' by Podcast Magazine. Kacie has also worked as a theatrical sound designer, arts administrator, and speaker for various arts and cultural organizations.
She has been a 2022 Emory Arts and Social Justice Fellow, a 2023 Pharell Williams’ Black Ambition Prize Semifinalist, a 2023 Google News Initiative participant, and a 2024 Truist Foundation Fellow.
