Kacie Luaders Named to Decide DeKalb Creative Industries Advisory Council

Could Be Pretty Cool founder Kacie Luaders has been named to the Decide DeKalb Creative Industries Advisory Council.

The council brings together creative industry leaders, businesses, K-12 and higher education, technical education, workforce organizations, and community partners to share insight, identify emerging opportunities, strengthen workforce development, and help advance economic development through creativity, innovation, entrepreneurship, and talent development across DeKalb County.

The appointment extends work CBPC has been doing since it started, which is making the case that creative labor is economic labor and that the people doing it deserve the same infrastructure any other industry takes for granted. DeKalb County is home to a significant share of metro Atlanta's working artists, producers, designers, and independent creators, many of whom operate without the business support systems that would let them scale.
